Thank you Hancock Fabrics!
On Tuesday, February 23, my 15 year old son Jacob and I entered Hancock Fabrics in Belton, MO. Our mission...finding material to make another 68 blankets for Project Snuggle "Take Two".
I asked Jacob to go along, I thought it would be nice to have a youthful set of eyes picking out the fabric. We spent almost 3.5 hours with Kelly and Bonnie. They provided us with the best customer service. Bonnie was actually a Foster Parent years ago. She shared how much she loved being a part of the children's lives but it was heart wrenching to see what the children go through. I really enjoyed her sharing part of her journey with me. Kelly had a bad toothache, but that didn't stop her from smiling and cutting the 1.5 yards of fabric for the project.
Life is truly about relationships! I really enjoyed hanging out with these two ladies, and my son. A BIG Thank you to Kelly and Bonnie who worked so hard that night. They are now truly a part of Project Snuggle.
Also, a Big Thank you to my son who diligently worked so hard to help pick out the material, separate into boxes by age group, and load up the big green CT van.
A night to remember! When is the last time you were able to have a conversation with someone in a retail setting? Did you share a part of your life...building a relationship. How about asking them to come to church on Sunday?
